The EZ-RJ45 Connector from Platinum Tools is designed to work on both Cat5e and Cat6 cables, solid or stranded. By using the new EZ-RJ45, it simplifies twisted pair terminations by allowing the wires to be inserted through the connector and out the front, to easily verify the proper wiring order.
Pulling the connector down over the cable jacket and seating it tightly in the rear of the connector optimises electrical performance of the termination. Reducing the distance between the wire twists and contacts also improves performance.
The brilliance of the connector system is you no longer have to fiddle with trimming the wires back then getting them to fit in the connectors. The wires go all the way through the connector and are trimmed off by the all-in-one action of the Crimp / Cutting tool.
Additional features of the EZ-RJ45 shielded Cat5e/6 connectors include:
