Good news eco warriors! Alpha Wire has expanded their EcoWire range. I previously blogged about manufacturers going green a while ago (see this link) and Alpha Wire was listed as one of the leading green interconnection manufacturers.
The introduction of new products into the EcoWire has been expanded to include EcoCable® Control Cable & EcoFlex™ Flexible Control Cable , designed for the Control and Automation markets where high power and larger AWG cable sizes are required.
The exciting developments include:
Up to 45% smaller diameter
Up to 40% lighter
10x abrasion resistance
Excellent resistance to hazardous fluids (EcoWire Plus)
mPPE thermoplastic insulation can be easily recycled since it does not contain hazardous materials.
There is a great white paper and product presentation on the Alpha Wire website (http://www.alphawire.com/~/media/Files/Brochures/EcoWire-and-EcoWire-Plus-brochure.ashx) which goes into all the technical detail which I know you all love.
You have to admit it, Alpha Wire is seriously head-and-shoulders above other leading cable manufacturers – nobody else has anything like this level of eco-friendly products.
This realization is both exciting and disappointing at the same time, because clearly this technology can be easily replicated. It therefore which begs the question: “why is no one else making this type of product?” Responses in self-addressed envelopes please!
