New (ish) Product Innovations!

This week’s blog is all about innovation. However, the innovation I bring you is not new.  I know this does not sound right at all, but keep reading.

If like me you believe the best things are simple and done well you’ll love this new product innovation – the Souriau Hermetic Feed-through (Solder Contacts on Both Sides of Bulkhead Connector).

This innovation is so simple yet you don’t see this in general use.  One reason is the obvious limitations on not being able to disconnect from the bulkhead. However, let’s look at the massive advantages of the Feed Through System.

If your product is in a ‘critical no fail’ product then you can be assured that the connections are properly secure and unable to mis-connect.  Also, traditional mating products have the ability to be pulled apart by accident.

In addition to this, the secure method of connectivity ensures that vibration dust and other elements do not interfere with the connectivity making this as secure, safe and reliable as is possible.

All in all a great system and well worth a look for your next design review.
