I have been watching the 3M range of Twin Axial cable products for some time, in anticipation of seeing the direction that 3M will take with the product range.
In my previous Blog I showcased the new release of the Twin Axial cable, go back and have a read about this great new product. The speeds at which it can deliver fast data are quite impressive. That’s why it’s won a stack of awards, including being named as one of the most technologically significant products introduced in the past year by R&D Magazine.
However, the one issue I have is the ability to terminate the cable as a raw cable product. The tooling is seriously expensive and really, unless you are a volume manufacturer, this is not going to be a viable product for you.
That said, I am pleased to bring you the new full product range in which 3M has launched complete cable assemblies – that’s more like it! I believe this is a product best purchased as a
completed assembly.
