Lemo introduces very small high-density IP68 connectors!

Lemo, the connector company known for miniature connector systems designed for harsh environments and broadcast, has introduced its MM Range offering even higher density in these tiny connectors.lemo_m_mm_connector_0

This is a great innovation as many modern cables require more connections without compromising on space so the physical size of these connectors is crucial.

According to Lemo the MM series is available with 2, 3 or 4 contacts and is be one of the smallest IP 68 connectors of the Lemo range.

With this very small connector, LEMO completes its range of connectors for the automotive / racing market by offering connectors suitable for cable diameters 2 to 27 mm and contact configurations ranging from 2 to 114 contacts.

For anyone that has had the job of building cables using these connectors I share your pain! While they are great because they offer higher density they are not the easiest to assemble. You need highly skilled technicians to assemble these. Especially if you are using them for broadcast, where signal quality is totally dependent on the quality of the individual connections.

This is all good and a positive innovation. However, I strongly recommended getting your cable assembly sub-contact company to do the work for you – it will save you a lot of blood sweat and tears, but mainly tears
