Good news! This week Harwin the UK connector manufacturer announced a £1M investment in their Portsmouth plant to accommodate the manufacture of their new 1.25mm pitch Gecko connector family.
This is doubly good news because, not only is this fantastic proof that the UK is a great home for competitive manufacturing for major brands, it is also great news for Portsmouth in light of their recent bad luck in their manufacturing sector. This came in the form of Ford closing their Transit Plant in the last few months.
