A Blog High Temperature Connectors from ITT Cannon
If you have products that are working in extreme environments but struggle to find connectors that can withstand very high temperatures, then look no further… Introducing ITT Cannon’s Ultra High-Temp Micro-MDM Connectors.
The Ultra High Temp Micro-MDM series is qualification tested to withstand 230º C continuous operating temperature for 500 hours and meets the harsh requirements of the Oil and Gas exploration industries.
ITT Cannon’s Ultra High Temp Micro-MDM connector is designated by an F300 modification code and uses high performance micro twist pin contacts, special insulating materials and high temperature wire.
For anyone that has no way to avoid high temperatures from either the product itself or by the environment it operates in these connectors are a very handy solution.
The only question now is what cable / wire to use? This is simple the choice is either Silicone or PTFE. My preference is always Silicone but that’s just my personal choice. Remember when designing products so long as the individual components meet the minimum specification requirements the rest is down to personal choice.
